Welcome to Spectrum of Love Advocacy. My name is Susana Ruiz.

I’m a mother of two unique, loving, and good-hearted young men with special educational needs.

My eldest was diagnosed in first grade with a specific learning disability, and my youngest was diagnosed at 2 years old with Autism. I am a former Elementary Teacher, Developmental Specialist, and now a Special Education Advocate.

    IEP coaching/ Special Education Advocacy

Advocacy Services

  • Review educational records

  • Attend IEP and 504 meetings

  • In preparation for the IEP, the advocate will propose goals, review supportive evidence, and materials.

  • Support parents in drafting letters and written requests to the school regarding their child’s education.

  • Guide parents in preparing and submitting complaints to the State Department of Education.

  • Provide referrals to experienced special education attorneys when legal support is needed.
